Bulletin No. 7

The Canada Water Campaign has hit the national press, with an article in the Independent on Sunday on 27th August: "So you thought Bluewater was big ..."

On TV: in the report on London Tonight on Wednesday 30th August, you may have heard that Southwark Coucil Leader Stephanie Elsy has confirmed that if the residents don't want Canada Water to be concreted over then it won't be. This is progress, but it is of course not the end of the matter.

We have to retain the wildlife habitat and promote development in character with the area:
No Skyscrapers in the Surrey Docks!

We were also on the news on Heart 106.2FM on 30th August.

A meeting is scheduled for 4th September for discussions on consultation with Southwark Council officers.

The next meeting of the Campaign is planned for Monday 11th September at Alfred Salter School at 19:30.
