Open from 11am-5pm. Watch the Mayor open the festival here and enjoy a steel band, a fire juggler and musical entertainment. If you are feeling hungry drop in for a bite between visiting the many Festival attractions. There’s Burger King, Spudulike, Tchibo Coffee shop, Bhs restaurant and Mange Tout sandwich bar. Parks Ranger Service Free Bus Stop 2 (return to attractions)

A 45 minute Heritage Healthy Walk will take place in Russia Dock Woodland, organised by qualified fitness walkers. We will be meeting at the Downtown Road entrance at 1400. See you there! N.B. your comfortable shoes.

The Pumphouse, Lavender Pond Free Bus Stop 3 (return to attractions)

The Pumphouse Educational Museum houses the Rotherhithe Heritage Museum, a collection from the foreshore of the River Thames dating from Roman times and telling the story of Rotherhithe and its people. The first floor holds 3 exhibitions, the 1950’s, The Blitz Room and artefacts from homes of the 20th Century. The second floor houses the six foot replica of the Queen Elizabeth II wedding cake, classroom and childrens’ reference library. From its distinctive Centre housed in a former Mortuary in St. Mary’s Park the Time & Talents Association acts as a focus for community development in the area and runs a wide variety of activities and programmes for local people of all ages and backgrounds. The Thames Tunnel is one of the world’s great engineering feats, and the oldest section of the oldest underground system in the world! Join in the storytelling, line dancing, a Victorian melodrama, or Love in a Tunnel, Sea Shanties and working songs by Skinners Rats. Open House: The library houses a collection of visual reference materials classified by subjects: from Armchairs to Zebras…. Festival Guides by Southwark Pilgrims

In 1997 the Southwark Young Pilgrims project began at London Bridge to introduce Southwark school leavers to the world of work, and they are your Ambassadors to the borough for today. Southwark Heritage Association founded the course in partnership with the training providers Mayflower 1620 Ltd.
